The film’s official synopsis reads: “To honour her best friend’s last wish, a young woman with severe anxiety confronts her greatest fears to try and reclaim her life – and perhaps find love.” Jumping from High Places is based on a novel written by Chiara Parenti. The film sheds light into self-discovery and anxiety as the main character battles her inner struggles. We follow the story of 25-year-old Sole Santoro (played by Federica Torchetti), who has long battled anxiety disorders. The only person who has helped and understood her is her best friend, Emma, who recently died. Just before passing, Emma writes Sole a letter for her upcoming birthday. She advises Sole to live a free and reckless life. This motivates Sole to go on a self-discovery journey of great proportions.
