RELATED: Wednesday Soon To Top Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and Stranger Things Season 4 on Netflix
Previously, Wednesday beat its 1960 predecessor Addams Family TV Series on Rotten Tomatoes, and was close to beating Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and Stranger Things Season 4 on the streaming site. Wednesday ranked as No. 3 on the all-time chart for English language series on Netflix as it passed 400 million viewership hours in a week.
According to Netflix Top 10, as of this week, the Charles Addam’s cartoon adaptation has pulled in a total of 173.9 million hours, which earned its spot on the ‘most viewed series on Netflix’ this week, in addition to its 1.19 billion viewership hours total within less than a month of its release. The show beat Harry and Megan: Limited Series (97.7M) and The Recruit Season 1 (52.3M).

There is no doubt that Wednesday is expected to break its own records soon if this keeps up, especially now that it’s getting its well-deserved second season. While Netflix is known to cancel their biggest streaming hits, let’s hope this settles the deal that we won’t be missing Wednesday Addams anytime soon.
For now, all episodes of Wednesday Season 1 are available to stream on Netflix. As for the release date on Wednesday Season 2, there are no official announcements yet. But we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any updates on this story.
