Gennifer Hutchinson recently spoke to CBR where she discussed what it was like working on the first season. In addition to that, Hutchinson revealed how producers are approaching Season 2. “You plan what the larger arcs are, and then within the seasons, you find those breaking points where each season should end,” she said. “But what’s interesting is [that] even as you have those big signposts per season, you’re still building that season organically.”
“You make discoveries while you’re doing the granular details of like, ‘Oh, maybe this character is better served here,’ or like, ‘This dynamic is interesting,’” Hutchinson continued. “So, while there is obviously a broader outline because we have the source material, there is also that room for that kind of organic growth throughout the seasons.” It’s great to know that producers are letting their plans grow organically but it’s still unclear what will happen in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2. One thing we know right now is that Halbrand, who has since been confirmed to be Sauron, has made his way to Mordor. In addition to that, The Stranger aka Gandalf the Grey is on a journey with Nori and to finding the truth about himself.
