On an Instagram post of UM Portal Geek, a tie-in merchandise of The Marvels has revealed the new dapper superhero suit of Monica Rambeau for the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel where Teyonah Parris will star alongside Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers and Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan. The new suit of Monica Rambeau is a black and white superhero costume with what seems like her very own logo in the middle. She may finally be taking on the moniker of Photon in the upcoming The Marvels movie. Teyonah Parris first appeared as Monica Rambeau in WandaVision which shows the daughter of Maria Rambeau, best friend of Carol Danvers, all grown-up and joining the same organization that her mother attended before her death after the blip.

As she went through the hex created by Wanda throughout Westview, Monica Rambeau got powers which was seemingly activated due to her walking through the hex of Wanda. While it wasn’t explained how, only Monica got through the hex without dying or being incapacitated, she even got out stronger. Fans are already theorizing that Monica Rambeau would finally embrace her very own moniker in the MCU, may it be Photon or Spectrum, the same as that in the comics but many are heavily leaning on her usage of Photon given her own comic book series Monica Rambeau: Photon released in August 2022. Following the intriguing post-credits scene of Ms. Marvel which showed Kamala Khan disappearing in her room after her bangle glowed, and thereafter, Carol Danvers appeared in her very own new costume as well, the said scene could be setting up what will happen in The Marvels. The Marvels is currently slated for a theatrical release on July 28, 2023, forming part of the MCU Phase Five.
