Originally, The Flash was supposed to compete with another comic book film courtesy of Sony Pictures but according to a new listing, that’s no longer the case. A tweet from Exhibitor Relations Co. claims that Sony’s untitled film which would’ve gone head-to-head with the DCEU flick has been removed from the studio’s release slate for June 2023.Details regarding the mystery film and its new release date have not been disclosed as of writing but it’s safe to assume that it’s another spinoff title revolving around one of Spidey’s notorious villains.

One would assume that there’s no way for them to subside anytime soon so the film is still in dire jeopardy. Now, with the troubled actor’s public perception getting tainted as of late, more and more fans are determined to skip The Flash and boycott the project altogether. It’s a messy situation for sure and things aren’t looking good for the DCEU film.The Flash is currently scheduled for release on June 23, 2023.
