Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Tatsuki Fujimoto’s longtime Twitter account was disabled due to age restrictions. For those who didn’t know, Fujimoto’s account is actually him pretending to be his “younger sister” “Koharu Nagayama”. With the new rules on the platform, Fujimoto has been locked out of the Twitter account because “she” is supposed to be a third-year elementary school student. Since then, Fujimoto has created a new Twitter account @ashitaka_eva and although the mangaka himself confirmed the account, most people were not convinced right away. This led to Fujimoto sharing a few new sketches of Chainsaw Man characters Aki Hayakawa and what appears to be Akane Sawatari, and of course, Chainsaw Man.
If you’re still not convinced that Tatsuki Fujimoto is the man behind the @ashitaka_eva account, Chainsaw Man editor Shihei Lin has confirmed the account is legit.
For now, it is unclear if Fujimoto will get his old Twitter account back. In the meantime, fans can follow “Eva” for new updates on the mangaka. In the meanwhile, Chainsaw Man is certainly on a roll. The latest episode of the anime had fans freaking out over the scene between Denji and Makima and also feeling very protective about Aki Hayakawa now that his backstory has been revealed. The manga also has people talking as Chainsaw Man tried to reveal his identity to Asa Mitaka and the other survivor of Justice Devil’s attack. Needless to say, we’re going to see so much more of both the manga and anime in the near future.
