Despite being categorized as a grey character, Dr. Owens’ return in Stranger Things Season 4 implies a massive change of heart after helping Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) to gain back her powers. Now that Stranger Things Season 5 is in the works, is Reiser open to reprising his role?

In a recent interview with E! News, Reiser cast doubt on his possible return in the final season of Stranger Things but said that he is open to coming back as Dr. Owens.

While all of us are clueless about whether Dr. Owens is a villain or a key character to the Hawkins gang, sadly, even Reiser is in the dark.

There’s no denying that fans would absolutely love to see Dr. Owens in the final season of Stranger Things, especially after he took care of Eleven in gaining back her powers during the last season. Although Reiser is still uncertain about his character’s future, it seems Dr. Owens indeed had a change of heart and is now on his redemption arc. More importantly, his involvement in the Russian experiments could also be pivotal when the Hawkins gang goes against the menacing Vecna.

But if he is not returning in the final season, maybe he would play a substantial role in the upcoming Stranger Things spinoff?Stranger Things Season 4 is available to stream on Netflix.
