Joseph Quinn was recently a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon where he talked about his star-making role in Stranger Things Season 4. However, Quinn also admitted that he almost didn’t make it to the talk show due to an airport security guard being suspicious of him when he flew in for the guesting.
“I very nearly didn’t make it,” Quinn told the host. “I was taken into, I guess what you could call it more of a dungeon. And I was asked to wait there for about 20 minutes and then I was summoned to this desk where someone asked me, ‘What are you doing in the United States, sir?’ I said, ‘I’m actually here to meet Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. And he didn’t believe me.”
Luckily, someone realized that they were in the presence of a star. “One of his colleagues looked over at him, looked at me, and said: ‘Leave Eddie alone!’” Quinn said with a smile. “And then [the colleague] said, ‘It’s Eddie from Stranger Things,’ and he was like, ‘You’re Eddie Munson?’”
Interestingly, the guard immediately became invested in Eddie’s return in Stranger Things Season 5. “[The man asked], ‘Do you come back next season?’ I was like, ‘I don’t know,’ and he said, ‘You better,’ and gave me my passport,” Quinn revealed.
For now, it has not yet been confirmed whether Eddie Munson will be back in Stranger Things Season 5. Still, we’re holding on to hope that Joseph Quinn is returning for the final season.
All nine episodes of Stranger Things Season 4 are now streaming on Netflix.
