M. Night Shyamalan’s Servant
M. Night Shyamalan is a well-known director and producer best known for his work in the supernatural genre. With critically acclaimed films such as The Sixth Sense and Split, it is not shocking that another Shyamalan-directed and produced work will be successful in providing audiences with chills and thrills. Servant’s first season follows Sean and Dorothy as they mourn the loss of their 13-week-old son Jericho. This created a gap in their marriage, allowing a malignant entity to penetrate their home. Servant’s first three seasons left fans with more questions than answers, resulting in a fairly disjointed horror narrative. However, with a cryptic approach and good performances from the show’s actors, they created enough tension to keep fans wanting more. Leanne has developed into a complete monster over the course of three seasons, and we’re still unsure of what else she’s capable of doing with all that evil power. The third season ended with Leanne snatching the lifelike doll Jericho, who turns out to have been alive the entire time, as shown in the season’s last episode, and Dorothy falling down a staircase. In continuation of Season 3, the Season 4 trailer hinted that Leanne’s and baby Jericho’s true backgrounds would finally be revealed. What to Expect from Servant Season 4
Dorothy appears in a wheelchair in a new Servant Season 4 trailer, revealing how afraid she is of Leanne, whom Uncle George characterizes as someone who displayed an act of kindness when she first arrived at the house. However, as Sean Turner explains, “when she’s happy, things are good,” but “when she’s angry, things go bad,” The Turner family is once again threatened by Leanne, all while Dorothy is finally waking up, setting up a thrilling finish. If Leanne wins, the city of Philadelphia will crumble — and the frightening part is that this is merely the beginning of the last reckoning, with Leanne admitting that she is beginning to enjoy the havoc she unleashes.
