Since the announcement of her Secret Invasion casting, fans have been speculating hard as to which character the Game of Thrones alumnus could end up portraying. Since the show is centered on the Skrulls finally exposing their true colors, there have been persistent rumors that Clarke could be playing the Skrull Queen Veranke. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case and according to the said Tenor page, Emilia is playing S.W.O.R.D. agent Abigail Brand. Following the accidental leak, Marvel Studios quickly made changes to the GIF image’s description, removing the “Abigail Brand” tag. When you think about it, the idea of the actress pretending to be Abigail Brand actually makes sense plotwise because the entire point of the series is to leave fans questioning whether or not they have everything figured out.
