Following RDJ’s emotional franchise exit in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, the 57-year-old actor has seemingly distanced himself from the MCU but on a rare occasion, the Iron Man actor is breaking his silence on what he misses most about the billion-dollar franchise. Surprisingly enough, Downey considers working on 2013’s divisive Iron Man 3 a pretty enjoyable experience and includes it among the things he misses about being in the Marvel bubble.Speaking with Deadline to discuss the Netflix documentary about his father, filmmaker Robert Downey Sr., RDJ revealed that he misses the people whom he worked with for over a decade. He shares: “What I miss most? Being in the trenches with Kevin Feige throughout; the beginning with Jon Favreau, it’s like a beautiful dream now; the middle, with Shane Black on Iron Man 3, we’d just had Exton and shot it mostly in Wilmington, NC.“Downey added: “It was idyllic and subversive.
