Spoiler Warning: There are possible My Hero Academia Chapter 371 spoilers in this article.
My Hero Academia Chapter 371 Story Spoilers
The previous chapter shifted the story’s focus from Shigaraki and Deku’s fight to Spinner and the other villains at the Central Hospital. On the heroes’ side are Present Mic, Mezo Shoji, Koji Koda, and others. This new chapter opens with Spinner and Shoji. As in the previous chapter, Spinner continues to press on while in a confused state following his power-up courtesy of All For One. As they fight, a short flashback is shown featuring Spinner. Specifically, the flashbacks show Spinner getting the Rigidity and Scale Armor Quirk from All For One. Another flashback is also shown where Spinner remembers playing League of Legends with Shigaraki. After the flashback, Spinner manages to land a hit on Shoji. This then shifts the perspective to Shoji who gets his own, lengthier flashback. Here, scenes of Shoji’s childhood struggle as someone with a Mutant-type Quirk are shown. Also highlighted were memories of Shoji with classmates from Class 1-A. The chapter ends with Spinner and Shoji once again preparing to clash, but this time, Spinner grows several spikes on his head while Shoji grows more eyes on his arms.
MHA Chapter 371’s League of Legends Reference
While not yet confirmed given that these are just leaked info, it’s funny to see League of Legends being referenced in the manga. League of Legends is one of the most popular multiplayer games today, so it makes sense why it got a shoutout. But it’s interesting to note given that My Hero Academia is set well over a century after the present day. Some fans also joked about League of Legends being the reason Shigaraki became a villain, referencing how stressful League of Legends games can be. The next My Hero Academia chapter is set to release officially this weekend in Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan and on Manga Plus outside Japan.
