As it stands, it remains unclear if Marvel Studios will actually plant the seeds for the First Family’s MCU arrival prior to their 2024 outing but according to writer Michael Waldron, it nearly happened in Phase 4.In an interview with Empire, the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness screenwriter revealed that original plans called for the film to have a post-credit scene that would have teased the arrival of Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm. Unfortunately, his pitch was ultimately turned down.He said: “In my very first draft, I wrote a tag just for the hell of it, of the events of the movie being recorded and reviewed by somebody in the Baxter Building, and a stretchy hand coming into frame to run it back. Reed is probably my favorite Marvel comics characters so I was always gunning to get him in here somewhere.“Also Read: Fantastic Four Fans Clamoring for Elizabeth Lail to Play Sue Storm Amid Penn Badgley Rumors Meanwhile, Marvel Studis’ official F4 announcement will reportedly take place at this year’s D23 Expo.
