Recently speaking in a Tiktok Q&A Ortega held herself, as per Comicbook.com, the actress went into detail about one particular line she wanted to change, which ended up sounding more like the character than the initial line. Check out her full quote below:

Personally, I agree wholeheartedly that Jenna’s final cut was way better than that. The way Wednesday simply asked Thing how much they paid for the dress with a hint of a small smile before changing is closer to the character than outwardly mentioning how much she’s “freaking out over a dress.” In this case, Wednesday’s lack of dialogue already does the trick.

In fact, previously, Wednesday showrunner Al Gough revealed that one of the Addams family daughter’s lines almost didn’t make the final cut seeing how “too dark” it was, even for a Tim Burton show. Fortunately, Miles Millar countered this incident by saying, “[But] that’s the whole point of the character. To lose that or dilute that is a betrayal of the character.”
