Born Henry Creel, he learns he had mysterious psychokinetic and telepathic powers, but used them for dark purposes to murder innocent people. Now, Vecna is intent on taking as many victims in possible in Hawkins, and the Season 4 finale featured a full-on war with Vecna. The Hawkins gang are able to pull off their plan to hurt Vecna in the end of Volume 2, but did the villain survive?
Did Vecna die in the end of Stranger Things Season 4?
No, Vecna is still alive. Although Nancy, Steve, and Robin are successfully able to critically damage Vecna’s body in the Upside Down thanks to the help of their friends, it’s clear that the powerful villain managed to survive their attacks. The end of Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 2 left a big hint at where Season 5 will go. Now that the Hawkins gang’s all back together, it’s likely they’ll work together to take him down, once and for all. The finale of Season 4 showed Will Byers telling Mike that he could feel Vecna, and that he’s still alive. He says that Vecna is not going to stop until he’s taken everything. It’s clear that Stranger Things is setting up Vecna as the show’s final villain, and although we still don’t know for sure how the Hawkins gang will be able to kill him for good, we already know that Season 5 is the final season.
