Is The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses a Yuri Anime?
Although the title may imply that it’s a yuri anime, its manga source material is considered a romantic comedy series, and instead of the relationship between the female characters, it focuses on the relationship of the five women with the main protagonist, Hayato Kasukabe. Furthermore, it appears that the show is leaning more toward the harem theme rather than yuri. From the name itself, Café Terrace Familia is the café that connects all characters together, including Hayato, the owner’s grandson. The “Its Goddesses” part of the title refers to the five women working in the café, so it’s understandable that some fans mistook it for a yuri anime. However, as mentioned, the story doesn’t only focus on the five women but also their struggles and relationship with the main male lead, Hayato.
