Recently, a poll revealed the top three voice actors whom fans believe have the sexiest voice in anime. Of course, this ranking isn’t just based on one character as it’s based on their entire body of work. Dedicated anime fans will probably be familiar with these actors as they have voiced numerous iconic roles between them.
Yuri on Ice, Jujutsu Kaisen Stars Among Top Male Anime Voices
In third place is Junichi Suwabe, a veteran voice actor who has been active in the industry since the 90s. His best-known roles include Keigo Atobe in The Prince of Tennis, as well as Archer in Fate/Stay Night. Suwabe’s main roles aren’t just limited to 2000s anime pretty boys though. He has also voiced a lot of popular (and rather attractive) characters in contemporary anime. His other well-known roles include Victor Nikiforov in Yuri on Ice, Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen, Shota Aizawa aka Eraser Head in My Hero Academia, and Leone Abbacchio in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, among others. The second sexiest voice is none other than Kenjiro Tsuda, another popular voice actor who is known for his deep and raspy voice. He is best known for voicing Seto Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh! Along with Kaiba, Tsuda is also the voice of Nanami Kento in Jujutsu Kaisen, Hannes in Attack on Titan, Overhaul in My Hero Academia, and Tatsu in The Way of the Househusband. Tsuda even played Tatsu in Netflix’s The Ingenuity of the Househusband live-action series. ALSO READ: Jujutsu Kaisen: Nanami Kento and His Realistic Struggles as a Salary Man
Kaworu, Gaara VA Tops Japanese Poll
There can only be one winner of the sexiest male anime voice poll though, and it is none other than Akira Ishida, another veteran voice actor who has voiced a wide range of iconic characters. Ishida is the voice of Athrun Zala in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, Kaworu Nagisa in the Evangelion series and Rebuild movies, and Gaara in Naruto. As shown in his characters, Ishida has a wide vocal range as he can voice both deep and soft-voiced guys. Similar to Suwabe and Tsuda, Ishida became popular in the early to mid-2000s and has continued to play characters in lots of new anime. For instance, Ishida voiced Akaza in Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, Regulus Corneas in Re:Zero, and Akira Soma in Fruits Basket, among others. Along with these three, the poll also revealed other popular voice actors who did not make the cut but still gathered lots of votes. These honorable mentions include Toshiyuki Morikawa (Sephiroth in Final Fantasy) and Hikaru Midorikawa (Garou in One Punch Man).
