It turns out that Marvel has been eyeing him for a “television role” long before the X-Men rumors and fan castings became a thing. In a series of tweets, ComicBook’s Liam Crowley, who attended the Boston Fan Expo 2022 shared details about Esposito’s “could have been” Marvel role. The Star Wars actor confirmed that he was in talks for an MCU television project which he believes was Loki. The Moff Gideon actor would then reveal that Marvel Studios’ offer never came to fruition simply because he wanted to have a bigger role in a big screen project. Check out the full thread below:
