ComicBook.com has confirmed that filming on Scream 6 has finished. The new was shared on Instagram with a photograph of the entire cast and crew. Check it out below: “It’s in the box! Shooting for the #Scream6 film has now ended. ⚡👻⚡ Well done to the Thunder team! We’d also like to thank producer Ron Lynch and #Montréal for choosing @blackmore.productions as their city to shoot”

Scream (2022), as it will see the return of all surviving characters from that film (bar Campbell) There is, however, one person missing from the photo, and that’s Neve Campbell, who shockingly exited the project earlier this year following a salary dispute with the studio. Here is her full statement: “Sadly I won’t be making the next Scream film,” the actress says. “As a woman I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my value, especially when it comes to Scream. I felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise.” “It’s been a very difficult decision to move on," she continues. “To all my Scream fans, I love you. You’ve always been so incredibly supportive to me. I’m forever grateful to you and to what this franchise has given me over the past 25 years.” But evidently that didn’t stop Scream 6 from moving forward, with all cast members from this year’s Scream (2022) returning for more Ghostface slayings. The official synopsis for the upcoming sequel is as follows: “[Scream 6] continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.” New York is a first for the Scream franchise. Scream (1996), Scream 4 (2011), and Scream (2022) take place in Woodsboro, while Scream 2 (1997) and Scream 3 (2000) take place in Ohio and Hollywood, respectively. MTLBlog.com recently revealed a number of photos on their website, which shows existing stores and street signs in Montreal that have been transformed for the purpose of Scream 6’s Manhattan setting. Check out the tweet below:

It has also been reported that Scream 6 will be set during the winter (could the film be set during Christmas?). Scream 6 stars Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers), Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed), Jenna Ortega (Tara Carpenter), Melissa Barrera (Sam Carpenter), Jasmin Savoy Brown (Mindy Meeks), Mason Gooding (Chad Meeks), Newcomers are Dermot Mulroney, Henry Czerny, Tony Revolori, Jack Champion, Devyn Nekoda, Liana Liberato, Josh Segarra, and Samara Weaving in undisclosed roles. Scream 6 will be released in theaters on March 31, 2023.
