While the film, which introduced the MCU fandom to a new breed of cosmic superheroes still did pretty decently at the box office by pandemic-era standards, it’s safe to say that it didn’t hit the mark with MCU diehards.For the longest time, it was unclear whether or not Marvel Studios would be willing to green-light a sequel, given Eternals’ lackluster reception but it turns out that Eternals 2 is actually in the works. According to a new scoop from Twitter insider MyTimeToShineHello, Eternals 2 will draw massive inspiration from the Judgment Day arc in the comics and will be “more cosmic”. The tipster adds that director Chloé Zhao isn’t attached to the project and there’s a good chance she won’t helm the sequel.
