Star Wars: Padawan just hit shelves this week and it’s already generating buzz within the fandom thanks to a plot point that seemingly suggests something about the Jedi Master’s sexuality we didn’t know about. Written by New York Times best-selling author Kiersten White, the novel includes a particular scene that left fans questioning whether or not Obi-Wan is actually bisexual. It all happens when Obi-Wan finds himself on a solo mission (via Bounding Into Comics) that takes him to a planet full of unsupervised young teens with their own relationships with the Force. When one of the teenagers, a boy named Casul tries to flirt with Kenobi, the Jedi Master’s commitment to his Jedi code is apparently put to the test.He ultimately shrugs off Casul’s attempt, explaining how someone like him can’t form attachments but it apparently left Obi-Wan contemplating whether or not he would have kissed the boy or any teen on that planet for that matter. Kenobi’s moral compass would later come into play and he realizes that he wouldn’t be engaged in any sort of attachment but it leads to another speculation — is he actually asexual? Also Read: Obi-Wan Kenobi Was Originally Going to Be a Movie TrilogyThe idea that Obi-Wan is either of the two actually comes as a huge surprise and as far as we know, the only time the Jedi Master formed an attachment with someone was when he was with Satine Kryze, a Mandalorian Duchess who is believed to be the mother of Kenobi’s child. Well, according to conspiracies, at least.Star Wars: Padawan is available everywhere.
