The panel revealed that Season 2 will be having a time jump from Season 1, with young Omega and the entire team getting a little older giving their armors new looks. While The Bad Batch Season 2 was originally set to be released in September 2022, it was mysteriously missing from the recently released Disney+’s list of September 2022 content.
Disney+ recently released every content that is coming to the platform in 2022, and Star Wars: The Bad Batch wasn’t among the projects being released (via The Direct). While the other Star Wars projects like Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return and the Andor series were listed, there was no mention of The Bad Batch Season 2. Although it’s quite possible that Disney+ mistakenly left out The Bad Batch from its September list, they haven’t updated the list since it was released on Monday, August 22.
This wouldn’t be the first time that a premiere of a Star Wars show was delayed. The latest trailer for the upcoming Andor series revealed that instead of being released on August 31, the Andor series will now be released on September 21st with three episodes. This is the second live-action Star Wars show to debut with multiple episodes, as the Obi-Wan Kenobi series also released its first two episodes on its release date.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch features the voice of Michelle Ang as Omega and Dee Bradley Baker as the Bad Batch. The show’s executive producers include Athena Portillo (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels), Brad Rau (Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars Resistance), Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Jennifer Corbett (Star Wars Resistance, NCIS), and Carrie Beck (The Mandalorian, Star Wars Rebels). Alex Spotswood (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) and Josh Rimes (Star Wars Resistance) will serve as the show’s producers.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch is supposed to be released on Disney+ on September 28, 2022.
