However, recently, there have been speculations that Cox will also show up in Deadpool 3 thanks to his recent comments where he hinted that Daredevil could show up in the film since both characters are exploring the R-rated arena. In a recent interview with TechRadar, the actor addressed the speculations where he clarified that his character is not set to appear in the film. While he is interested to be part of it, he also didn’t want to disappoint his fans who might be looking forward to it. “Oh god, what did I say again? Oh yeah, I said that in Germany, didn’t I? I can tell you now, I’m definitely not in Deadpool 3,” Cox said. “If it ends up being true, I’ve inadvertently spoiled something. If it isn’t, fans who are excited about something I say will end up being disappointed.”
While it might be unfortunate to hear that Cox is not set to appear in Deadpool 3 (for now), at least we have a clarification before it even grows and becomes an endless speculation that just goes nowhere. Obviously, you could argue that the actor might just be lying about his potential involvement in the film since we’ve seen situations before where actors denied their appearance in an MCU project before it was revealed to be true. The most famous example is Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, Cox is also going to be very busy next year since he will spend 11 months filming 18 episodes of Daredevil: Born Again and he might not have time to shoot a potential cameo in Deadpool 3, which is also set to film next year. Logistically, it will be difficult to pull off. Who knows, perhaps in the future of the MCU after that, we could see Deadpool and Daredevil team up in some capacity. While it won’t happen anytime soon, the possibility is still out there since both of them are now under the same umbrella.
