Call of the Night Episode 8 Recap
Nazuna overlooked the most crucial aspect of her mutual agreement with Kou. Kou must become a vampire one year after Nazuna sucked his blood, according to Niko. Kou will not qualify as a vampire if he does not become one within that time frame. Worse, Niko and the others will put him to rest. Regardless, Nazuna insisted on caring for Kou. In fact, she decided to kiss Kou in front of the other vampires to pay off her debt from the other night. Following that, the two of them flew through the night sky, leaving the hangout spot. Nazuna, according to Kou, is an outlier. Nazuna, unlike the other vampires he’s met, is unique. He also told Nazuna that he was relieved she was the vampire he had chosen to turn him into one. The following evening, Kou is discussing the events from the previous night with Akira. While Kou is unaware, Akira has put all the pieces together. Now that Kou has a one-year time limit, he must fall in love with Nazuna in order to become a vampire. If he hasn’t fallen in love by then, the vampires will kill him. After all, Kou knows everything there is to know about vampires, including their habits. Simply put, he only has one year to live! Akira went to school in the morning. She considers what would happen to Kou along the way. She believes she can’t rely on Nazuna to help her friend. She also considers how good a student Kou is at school, despite the fact that he misses the most obvious things. When Akira arrived at school, she found Mahiru sleeping on the stairs. Mahiru claims he was out all night having fun. This led her to believe that going out at night was becoming more popular nowadays. While Akira seriously thinks Mahiru is a role model student, he, like Kou, goofs off at night. Mahiru goes out at night to spend time with his love interest. Unfortunately, that person is only available at night, which explains Mahiru’s sleep deprivation. Before Akira could inquire further about Mahiru’s companion, the latter inquired about Kou. They were friends, but they didn’t necessarily hang out together. In fact, they haven’t seen each other in a long time. Friendship is primarily just a label for their non-existent relationship. Mahiru is always surrounded by people because he is a friendly and sociable person. As a result, Akira and Kou distanced themselves from Mahiru. Their so-called friendship was hampered by their three contrasting personalities. Mahiru, on the other hand, is concerned about Kou. They weren’t particularly close, but he still worries about him not showing up to school. Mahiru told Akira that he will contact Kou about the situation before they parted ways. Akira began to reminisce about their shared childhood. It all started when she accompanied Kou to observe ants transporting bugs to their nest. Mahiru finds it fascinating, but he still wants Kou to come and play baseball with him. Meanwhile, Kou ran into Seri again. Seri is the blonde vampire who attempted to murder him the other night. As a result, Kou is concerned about having her around. Seri, on the other hand, assured Kou that she has no intention of killing him this time. They decided to have a conversation near the rain shelter where they first met. Nazuna, according to Kou, wants him to do whatever he wants in order to fall in love with her. However, Kou does not understand the concept of love or liking someone, making it difficult for him. Kou, in turn, offered Seri unsolicited advice. Seri decided to assist Kou because she was moved by his innocence. She instructed Kou to ask Nazuna out on a date! However, Nazuna eventually rejected Kou’s proposal. She would rather play games than go on a date with him. Kou, on the other hand, insisted on leaving by turning off the power of Nazuna’s game console. This prompted her to accompany Kou to the movies, where she got enraged at him for selecting a rom-com film. Following that, the two of them went to a café. Nazuna confronted Kou about the person who gave him stupid date night ideas. Seri, as it turns out, gave Kou a list of date ideas, including going to the movies, cafés, and karaoke and window shopping, visiting the aquarium, and even dining while overlooking the night sky. Finally, Nazuna decided to leave Kou because she thought all of the ideas were ridiculous. Back in his room, Kou reflects on the failure of his first official date. Nazuna, on the other hand, is back to playing games until she gets hungry. Nazuna took the list she received from Kou and decided to visit him at his home. She wants to try the last item on the list – a meal with a view of the city lights – with Kou because things ended badly for her. Nazuna sucks Kou’s blood in the night sky, high above the city lights. She also told Kou that hanging out with him every evening counts as a date for her. Kou should not change things up because it’s more enjoyable that way. The following evening, Kou ran into Mahiru. They decided to talk in a nearby playground because they hadn’t spoken in a long time. They used to play baseball together with Akira back in the day. While dealing with Akira is more difficult for Kou due to her gender, dealing with Mahiru is relatively simple. Mahiru is an ideal person for Kou. He gets good grades and performs well in sports, his teachers believe in him, and his family owns a flower shop. Almost everything about Mahiru is amazing, which is why Kou considers himself fortunate to be his friend. Mahiru told Kou that he has a distinct presence that allows him to recognize him. Akira appeared out of nowhere just as they were about to exchange compliments. Then they decided to talk about Kou’s nightly adventures with Nazuna for a while. Akira claims that when Mahiru is present, Kou becomes corny. However, Kou doesn’t mind if it’s Mahiru because he’s his role model. Mahiru pulls away from the two of them to meet someone. Akira also decided to return home and sleep for a while. Kou and Nazuna meet before the episode ends. For the first time, they also held hands! Nazuna initiated it after seeing Mahiru holding hands with someone. While she believes it is illegal to hold hands with a middle schooler, she gives it a shot.
