Call of the Night Episode 6 Recap
After-office drinks are awful. Kiyosumi Shirakawa would agree. It’s not only exhausting, but it also feels like sexual harassment on her part. One night, she remembered the massage course she had taken over at Nazuna’s place. To erase her tiredness, she decided to go and see if Nazuna was still doing massages. However, she was welcomed by Kou instead. Regardless of her reservations, Kou Yamori appeared in front of her dressed as a masseuse. While massaging Kiyosumi, Kou mulls over his reasons for agreeing to Nazuna’s terms. He believes he is only doing it for the money and not for the kiss promised by Nazuna. After all, 2000 yen is a large sum of money for a middle-schooler. He also doesn’t want Nazuna to foot the bill for everything they do; it’s not manly. Meanwhile, Kiyosumi inquired about Kou’s age. She began to ask more questions after learning that Kou was only 14 years old and in his second year of middle school. Kiyosumi questioned Kou’s decision to work at such a young age. In response, Kou stated that he desired the money. Aside from that, Kou revealed that he has stopped attending school, which explains his excessive energy, which prevents him from sleeping. He began going out at night and discovered that it was vastly different. At night, the streets he used to walk every morning felt different. In a nutshell, Kou wants to have a good time. He can walk in the middle of the road and sing without anyone objecting to his voice. In the flow of conversation, Kiyosumi shared her first night out ten years ago. She went to a convenience store and bought a pork bun and tea. Kiyosumi’s first night out felt like such a private experience for her. The next thing Kiyosumi knows, Kou has already begun massaging her hand. When she asks why Kou stopped going to school, he only says it became boring. After a while, Kiyosumi began to cry and expressed her dissatisfaction with going to work or having after-work drinks. Aside from forcing herself to have fun, she also pretends to laugh at her colleagues’ jokes. When her phone rang, everything changed. Her boss summons her to the office in the middle of the night. She’ll get in trouble if she doesn’t go. As a result, Kou made the decision not to let her go. He recognizes himself in Kiyosumi and feels compelled to stop her. Kou quickly shut the door and called out to Nazuna in the next room. Surprisingly, Nazuna chose to reveal her vampire self to Kiyosumi by knocking her out the window. While Kiyosumi is processing what is going on around her, she realizes she is about to die from falling. However, Kou pursued her, with Nazuna ultimately saving them both. Following that, Kou apologized and explained why he decided to prevent her from returning to the office. On the other hand, Kiyosumi told Kou that she couldn’t act like him because she was an adult. Even if it becomes tedious, adults must go over it. Kiyosumi feels obligated to her boss and at work because her situation differs from Kou’s. In any case, Kou believes Kiyosumi’s boss is far more insane than the reason he wishes to become a vampire. Kiyosumi’s boss wants her back in the office at two in the morning. Despite Kou’s attempts to persuade Kiyosumi to return to her work, the latter chose to do so. In exchange, Kou promises to turn Kiyosumi into a vampire if she grows tired of being human. At the very least, he gave her the option of making her life less miserable. The next night, Nazuna asks Kou to plan out their activities for the evening. Kou proposed everything he could think of, from karaoke to magic. Finally, the two of them decided to go swimming at night. There, Kou realized it was nothing like a day pool. It’s more mature, and the atmosphere is strangely ethereal. Kou started thinking about Nazuna’s swimsuit. He is conflicted, however, after becoming accustomed to Nazuna’s swimsuit-like clothing beneath her hoodie. In any case, Nazuna appeared wearing a large t-shirt over her swimsuit. Kou believes it is more erotic than usual for an unknown reason. Nazuna went to the bar to get some drinks. Because of her attractive appearance, she attracted some guests along the way. Kou also witnessed Nazuna being hit on by two men. They want Nazuna to accompany them despite the fact that she is with someone. As a result, Kou intervened and drew Nazuna away from the situation. They also left the pool at night. Along the way, Kou is irritated by the crowded pool and the guests who have a different opinions of Nazuna. Nazuna apologized in return, saying she was just teasing Kou again. Nazuna decided to go to Kou’s school and swim in the pool before the episode ended. They make amends, and the night concludes with Nazuna sucking the blood from Kou’s neck.
