Speaking with Slash Film, Black Panther 2’s producer Nate Moore was asked if Namor would be the last villain in Wakanda, and in response, he revealed that director Ryan Coogler had been planning Namor’s introduction since post-production of Black Panther in 2018 by ‘calling dibs’ on the character. Read Moore’s full quote below:
Ryan Coogler has been known to make villains three-dimensional in Black Panther so far, with Michael B. Jordan’s Killmonger still becoming a fan-favorite after empathizing with his motives, and now, with Tenoch Huerta’s Namor teased to be a complicated non-black-and-white character, it would be no surprise if Coogler once again succeeds in bringing another MCU villain to life.
Whether or not Namor will still live on after the sequel remains a question, but if he does, he would probably somehow be able to team up with the other villains and might even make an appearance on an Avengers film, perhaps with Kang the Conqueror?
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premieres on November 11.
