Believe it or not, the British actor actually had creative freedom over his pivotal Black Adam cameo which almost sounds hard to believe, considering DC Films’ Walter Hamada has been calling the shots since Zack Snyder left the franchise in 2017. Speaking with Josh Horowitz on a live recording of his Happy Sad Confused podcast, the Batman v Superman star said that chose to wear his original Man of Steel costume instead of the altered Justice League version. According to him, he wore the particular suit out of nostalgia. He explains: “It was a very powerful moment for me. I wasn’t too sure how I was going to feel, whether I was going to be, ‘Okay cool, back in the suit,’ or whether it was going to be something which was very emotionally connective, because I put the Man of Steel suit back on. […] And I chose that one in particular because of the nostalgia attached to the suit, and it was incredibly important for me to just be standing there and enjoying that moment.
