Meanwhile, T.O.P shares his feelings for being one of the crew members for the historical space expedition. In a different post on Instagram on December 12, he shared a photo of a painting of the words “Dear Moon.” “Personally, four years ago, when I had the hardest time, my dear friend Joel painted this for me. This was not an accidental miracle. This was a fateful encounter created by greatness in ART,” he captioned the post. It aims to succeed in the first-ever expedition of private civilians to the moon, including the DJ and producer Steve Aoki, the photographer Rhiannon Adam, filmmaker Karim Iliya, choreographer Yemi A.D., musician and YouTuber Tim Dood, and actor Dev Joshi. It also includes the two reserve crew members, snowboarder Kaitlyn Farrington and dancer Miyu.

On December 9, the dearMoon Project formally announced T.O.P’s part in the moon expedition, happening sometime in 2023.
