Two Avatar based games are coming in next year with Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Level Infinite’s Avatar: Reckoning and both have been teased during the D23 Expo Day 1 showing parts of Pandora that are new and unexplored.
Avatar: Reckoning, developed by Archosaur Games, was announced in January 2022 published by Level Infinite with the Under Engine 4 for iOS and Android. It is an MMO mobile RPG shooting game with touchscreen tailored combat. Both Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Avatar: Reckoning are based on the Avatar film franchise which will be releasing its much awaited sequel in December this year, Avatar: The Way of Water. Both games will involve Na’vi characters facing RDA troops.

Avatar: The Way of Water also got its moments during the D23 Expo with teasers and announcements coming from the makers of the franchise. After more than a decade, the sequel is finally happening, and not only that – there are more Avatar films coming in everyone’s way. Director James Cameron who has worked on the Avatar franchise since the start has proudly announced updates for the upcoming films such as Avatar 4 being under production already even when Avatar: The Way of Water is still in post-production, preparing for its December release. All in all, the Avatar franchise has been busy and the upcoming games Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Avatar: Reckoning are set to expand the franchise through consoles and mobile phones. Both Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Avatar: Reckoning have no exact release dates yet but are eyeing for a 2023 launch.
