The update comes from the production for the Attack on Titan: The Musical, and as you can see below, it features the musical’s diverse cast with their iconic costumes. The live-action version of the Survey Corps looks accurate to the look of the original characters featured in Hajime Isayama’s manga series and the anime.
While the Attack on Titan manga concluded several years ago, bringing an end to the tragic story of Eren Yeager, the Scout Regiment, and their battle against Marley, MAPPA will be releasing the final episodes of the anime adaptation in 2023. Hajime Isayama left open the possibility of reviving the series, thanks to the director’s cut of the manga’s final chapter, but the artist has yet to confirm that either a spin-off or a sequel will be released in the near future. This is not the first live-action Attack on Titan performances. Warner Bros. produced two live-action Attack on Titan movies in Japan before, but they told a wildly different story. A Hollywood adaptation of Attack on Titan is reportedly in the works, but there are no recent updates about that. Here are the cast members confirmed for the Attack on Titan: The Musical so far:
