Speaking with Vanity Fair where she disclosed her multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis, Emma Caulfield Ford, who played Dottie in WandaVision, confirmed that she is set to return in Agatha: Coven of Chaos. During the interview, the actress discussed disclosing her diagnosis to showrunner Jac Schaeffer ahead of the filming of the series. “I am going back to work! Everyone has been notified that needs to be notified. I can’t put myself through what I did with WandaVision again. I can’t do that. They did nothing wrong,” Caulfield Ford said. “They had no idea what was going on with me. They didn’t ask anything of me that was like, “I need to call my agent!” They’re asking me to just sit and chat and do my dialogue. It’s not hard.”
Despite her diagnosis, the actress still shared her excitement about her involvement in the series and hinted that there are a lot of secret details that she already knows about the project. “That is super fun. There’s a couple of things actually. There’s another thing which I also can’t really say,” she teased. It is interesting to hear that Dottie will appear again in the upcoming spinoff series since it is a sign that it’s going to be heavily tied in with the events of WandaVision. It is curious to see how the character will play into the story of the series and whether they’ll expand her besides just being a resident of Westview. At this point, it wouldn’t be surprising if we’ll hear more supporting actors from WandaVision appear in the series. Let’s just wait and see for more updates regarding the development of the much-awaited spinoff.
